"Glaoch" - The Call €690 Original A3 Available Soon | A3 Gouache (15 limited Edition Prints to be released and no more.) A wolf lifts her head in a quiet moment of instinct, breath rising into the light. The piece captures both strength and stillness, focusing on atmosphere, texture, and the raw presence of the animal. This piece was so special to create, probably the most complicated and detailed work I have created so far. She is inspired by the strong mothers I know, the strong mother I had and the mother I wish to be, protector of children and land. An original A3 painting created in gouache, built through multiple layers to achieve depth, texture, and controlled light. Fine brushwork captures the detail of the fur and surrounding atmosphere, while subtle tonal shifts and glazing techniques create a sense of movement and breath within the piece. There will be 15 Limited Edition prints of this piece, however, as a one-of-a-kind original, it carries the presence and depth that cannot be replicated in print fully, offering a unique piece with lasting impact. This artwork comes signed with gold Gouache and includes a basic black box frame to ensure safe delivery. Payment Options I know that buying original artwork can feel like a big step, especially in times like these. For me, it’s important that if a piece really speaks to you, there’s a way to make it yours. If you’d like to secure one, you’re very welcome to join the pre-order list. To reserve a print, you can arrange a small deposit—just send me your details by email and I’ll forward a secure payment link through SumUp.

“Fios an Choille” – “The Forest’s Knowing” (SOLD) €575 A3 | Original A3 Gouache Painting On paper A fox stands within a quiet woodland, illuminated by shafts of light breaking through the trees. Surrounded by mushrooms and low forest growth, the scene feels suspended, somewhere between stillness, movement and magic. Fine layers of gouache and acrylic build texture through fur, bark, and moss, while subtle highlights and droplets catch the light, giving the painting a sense of atmosphere and depth. The gaze of the fox holds the centre, alert and knowing, as if aware of something just beyond view, he is curious about his world. Rooted in a fascination with woodland ecosystems and quiet, hidden moments, the piece invites a slower looking, drawing attention to the interplay between light, life, and the unseen. An original A3 mixed media painting.

“Fia Rua” (Irish: Red Deer) €575-SOLD A3 | Original gouache and coloured pencils on paper. A stag emerges from darkness, its presence quiet yet commanding. Fine layers of gouache and acrylic capture the texture of fur and antler, while subtle highlights and drifting breath suggest cold air and stillness. Droplets cling to the surface, catching light like fragments of the landscape itself. In Irish folklore, the deer holds a sacred place, often seen as a guide between worlds, a symbol of endurance, and a quiet guardian of the wild. This piece reflects that sense of reverence, allowing the subject to stand alone, suspended in a moment both grounded and otherworldly.

“Bran” (SOLD) €400 A3 | Mix Media A wolfhound mid-motion, tongue lolling, breath and movement captured in loose, expressive strokes. The piece carries a sense of vitality untamed, immediate, and full of character. Fragments of Irish text surround the figure, referencing the legendary hound Bran from folklore companion, protector, and symbol of loyalty. The words sit lightly behind the subject, like a story half-remembered, while the animal itself remains vivid and present. Rendered in gouache with pen and acrylic details, this A3 original balances spontaneity with control, allowing the energy of the subject to lead.

“Cu” €350-SOLD | A3 Mix Media. A young wolf emerges from soft layers of colour, its gaze direct and watchful. Surrounding it, fragments of Irish text reference folklore in which wolves were not feared, but honoured—guardians of the land and protectors of children. The piece weaves image and language together, allowing the story to sit just beneath the surface. The script is partially obscured, like memory or myth passed down through generations, while the wolf remains present and steady at the centre. Painted in gouache with fine pen and acrylic details, the work balances delicacy with quiet strength, inviting a closer, more reflective viewing. An original A3 mixed media painting.

The piece focuses on rhythm, structure, and the quiet energy of natural growth. An original A4 gouache painting.

SOLD €250 “Fiach” A raven rests quietly on a branch, its form built through layered washes of colour and fine, detailed line work. Subtle blues, greys, and muted tones shift across the feathers, while delicate spiral markings add a sense of pattern and rhythm. Set against a light ground, the piece allows the subject to breathe—balancing detail with space, and structure with softness. The result is a quieter, more contemplative study of the bird. Created using gouache, acrylic, and fine point pen, this is an original A4 mixed media work.

SOLD €250 Forest Glow An original A4 gouache painting exploring the quiet magic of the forest floor. A cluster of luminous mushrooms emerges from a bed of moss and fallen wood, their soft pinks, violets, and warm ochres glowing against a deep, dark ground. Subtle highlights and translucent layers give the caps a jewel like quality, as if lit from within, while delicate droplets suggest a moment suspended in time, just after rain. I often incorporate this into my work, just after the rain". This piece reflects an ongoing fascination with small, often overlooked ecosystems and their hidden beauty. By isolating these forms against darkness, the work invites a closer, more intimate viewing, transforming the ordinary into something quietly otherworldly. Painted in gouache on paper, this is a one-of-a-kind original. No Prints have been made.

€80-SOLD “Scarletina Bolete” A richly coloured study of the scarletina bolete, rendered in layered gouache against a deep black ground. Saturated reds, blues, and ochre shift across the surface, giving the form an almost iridescent quality, while fine details in the gills and stem anchor the piece in observation. I love how this mushroom turns to blue inside once it oxidises, something I only recently learned about. There is always something new and magical to learn from nature and I love to express it in paint. Isolated against darkness, the subject takes on a sculptural presence part botanical study, part contemporary interpretation. The focus is on colour, texture, and the quiet complexity found in natural forms. Another inspiration for me is old victorian nature studies, I try to show this in my smaller paintings. An original A4 gouache painting.

“Nocturne: Luna” Newly available €250 Gouache Original and comes with this arched frame. This is a highly detailed unique work. 12x 130x27cm. See Shop Page. A luminous moth suspended in darkness, its pale green wings unfolding like silk against the night. Painted in gouache, delicate layers of pigment create a soft translucency, while fine details trace the fragile structure of the wings and body. Set against a deep black ground, the subject appears almost illuminated, quiet, otherworldly, and still. I normally focus on subjects natural to Ireland, but I was inspired to make this after watching a documentary. Framed in an arched mount with a gold surround, this piece is presented as a complete object, ready to hang.

SOLD €150 “Larsma" A study of a skull intertwined with emerging fungi, balancing decay and renewal. Soft washes of gouache and muted tones create a sense of age and stillness, while subtle green forms of trumpet Lichen suggest life continuing quietly through the remains, as it does. I love the contrast of life and death and the natural cycle of things. Presented within an ornate oval frame, the piece draws on the tradition of natural history and cabinet of curiosities displays where objects are both observed and contemplated. Another contrast here of dark beauty and fanciful ornate beauty. An original mixed media painting, framed and ready to hang.

The result is a piece that feels both grounded in nature and slightly surreal. Painted in gouache on paper, this is an original A4 work.

Soul of the Fox This original A4 gouache painting explores the quiet intelligence and presence of the fox. Inspired by our connection to foxes in Ireland, I wanted to focus on the eyes, capturing something deeper than appearance alone. The intensity of the gaze is central to the piece, reflecting a sense of awareness and individuality. Through layered colour and fine detail, the aim was to show the fox not just as an animal, but as a sentient being, watchful, perceptive, and very much present. This piece has been made into a 300 limited giclee print series. Feel free to enquire about the original artwork.

Old Red This original A4 gouache painting captures the bold character and presence of the rooster. Full of energy and attitude, the piece focuses on expression and detail, bringing out the individuality and personality of the subject. Through layered colour and fine brushwork, I wanted to highlight not just the physical form, but the lively, almost playful nature of the rooster. Mad as a March Hare This original A4 gouache painting captures the alert, expressive nature of the Irish hare, watchful, quick, and full of life. The focus is drawn to the eye, holding a sense of awareness and intensity, while fine brushwork and layered colour bring out the softness and texture of the fur. In Irish folklore, the hare is often seen as something more than just an animal, linked to mystery, transformation, and the unseen world. The phrase “mad as a March hare” speaks to their wild, unpredictable energy during the spring months, a time of movement, instinct, and change. This piece reflects that spirit, restless, alive, and slightly untamed, capturing both the physical presence of the hare and the deeper sense of character it carries. This artwork has been made into a limited giclée print series. If you would like to secure a print or enquire about the original painting, please feel free to get in touch.

Among the Lichen This original A3 gouache painting captures the lively, curious nature of the pine marten, nestled within a woodland setting rich in texture and detail. The piece focuses on expression and personality, bright-eyed, alert, and full of energy, bringing a sense of life and movement to the composition. In Ireland, the pine marten is a rare and special sight in the wild. Once scarce, they are thankfully being seen more often again, making encounters with them feel all the more meaningful. This piece reflects that sense of rarity and quiet excitement, those fleeting moments when nature reveals something truly special. Through layered colour and fine brushwork, I wanted to celebrate not just the animal itself, but the joy of seeing it, unexpected, wild, and full of character. This artwork has been made into a limited giclée print series. If you would like to secure a print or enquire about the original painting, please feel free to get in touch.

Edgar This original A4 gouache painting explores the character and quiet intelligence of the jackdaw. With a slightly gothic feel, the piece sits between stylisation and realism, allowing both atmosphere and detail to come through. I’ve always been drawn to corvids, and in Ireland there’s a real familiarity with them in the landscape. For me, they carry a sense of curiosity, awareness, and presence that goes beyond their physical form. Edgar reflects that fascination—watchful, a little mysterious, and full of personality. Through layered tones and textured brushwork, I wanted to capture both the softness of the feathers and the sharpness of the gaze, balancing mood with fine detail. This artwork has been made into a limited giclée print series. If you would like to secure a print or enquire about the original painting, please feel free to get in touch.
